Lamps
La Mar de Músicas Festival / REHOGAR 4.0 Exhibition
Large plastic containers recycled, colored paper, rubber EVA and electrical material
Cartagena / Valencia, 2012

A part of this series of lamps was exhibited during La Mar de Musicas Festival in Cartagena in 2012 summer on the terrace of the enclosure of Torres Park, within the artistic exhibition organized by Pablo Cerezuela, Manager of the Cathedral restaurant. At the same time, a piece was exhibited in the Auditorium Batel terrace in Cartagena and thanks to Mazinger Gin-Tonic Bar. Later another selection of pieces was presented on the Rehogar 4.0 exhibition organized by the collective Makea Tu Vida.
Rehogar is an artistic exhibition of objects and design made with recycled materials.
The lamps are made from recycled plastic bins and inside in has been created underwater scenes using silhouettes cut on papers of various kinds, especially acetate, looking for the game between translucent and opaque.
They could remind a little those bottles with message inside, which the castaways on many films and books, they throw them to the sea in the hope of someone rescuing them. Only that in this case, the mixture between the plastic container and the aquatic representation can lead

to thinking in an ecological claim.
The piece is not made in this regard and is only a small act of recycling and creation inspired by the undersea world of Jacques Cousteau documentaries that I used to watch when I was a child.
